| Amsterdam Airlines receives the AOC |
|
On August 19th 2008 Amsterdam Airlines received the so called AOC from the Dutch government. The AOC, or Air Operators' Certificate is an official document issued by the government stating that Amsterdam Airlines complies to the rules and regulations of the JAA and Dutch Aviation Authority and thus uphold to the latest standards to ensure the safe operation of flights.
In July 2007 Matthijs Boertien and Jeroen Visser started the process of setting up the company and to prepare the documentation required to obtain the Air Operators' Certificate or AOC. Soon onwards Jaap Horsten, the Managing Director of Amsterdam Airlines, joined in. Just little over a year later, with the help of an experienced management team and well-trained and enthousiastic crew members, Amsterdam Airlines received the important document.
On August 19th 2008 the AOC was officially handed over by the Dutch government to Matthijs Boertien and Jaap Horsten.
"We are happy to obtain the AOC. This all would not have been possible without the good relationship between the CAA and Amsterdam Airlines." Jaap said. "I am very proud that the entire Amsterdam Airlines team has put such great effort in obtaining this AOC. As everything within Amsterdam Airlines, it has been a succesful team effort leading to a great end product. In this case it was the AOC, but in flight it will be our service!" Matthijs added. |
